Your new role
Merri Health is working in partnership with the National Disability Insurance Agency to deliver the NDIS Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) Partnership across Ovens Murray.
As an Early Childhood Coordinator you will be responsible for:
- Providing Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) Services to children aged 0-6 years with developmental delay and/or disability in line with ECEI Best Practice.
- Undertaking formal and informal developmental screenings / assessments for children 0 – 6 years.
- Supporting families by empowering them to make linkages to universal services and supports within the community, and making referrals as required.
- Supporting families in understanding the Early Childhood Early Intervention Pathway within the NDIS as well as supporting them with gaining access as required, and NDIS Planning.
What you’ll need to succeed
To be successful with Merri you will go above and beyond to achieve great results for our clients, the organisation and yourself. We’re looking for individuals with:
- Relevant qualifications and professional registration (allied health / early childhood education)
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development, developmental delay, and the early year childhood intervention sector.
- Ability to identify the needs of children and their families.
- Excellent interpersonal skills along with the ability to engage and build strong working relationships with children, families, and service providers.
- Strong report writing and documentation skills.
- The ability to work creatively and independently, respond to diverse situations, demonstrate initiative, and work as part of a transdisciplinary team.
